In general I wrote that is too bad that in Brazil we have to wait for 2 or 3 month to have a professional camera fixed due to lack of spare pieces. Our customs are too burocratic.
We did rode our bikes to Cameratek! Thanks for the tips as well! Please send our regards to your people who waited for us for a coupple of minutes once we were a little bit late!

My beloved new toy (SX1 powershot) failed last sunday. I contacted your office via Canon website on Monday and was advised that the unit will need to be sent to JHB and advise was given to me, I handed the camera in at the retailer on the tuesday and by thursday I had already been advised that the unit was in your care, (Great service from Makro Durban,)...........Today Tuesday 13 July I am again advised by your staff that the camera has been "repaired" and has been despatched from your premises, (with a bit of luck I should have it on Thursday, in time for my very long weekend away with my Camera...we leave on Friday night)
Guys you have no idea how impressed I am with the attitudes and service I have had from your staff, You and your staff are an asset to Canon, Well done !!!!!!

To a large extent we unfortunately find ourselves in a culture where offering great service to customers is not always a priority for many corporations. I therefore feel that when service providers exhibit excellence, it should be recognized and rewarded.
I bought a new digital camera from Game and within a month to six weeks it wasn’t working. I asked Lucretia to attend to solving the problem and after a telephonic discussion and two e-mails, she attended to it efficiently and professionally.
I am very grateful to know that my camera had been repaired, as it was a big expense for me as a single mom battling to make end meet.
I would thus like you to know that she was a pleasure to deal with and Cameratek should consider her an asset to the organization.

My Canon 450D has been giving me problems for about 5 months now, I\'ve
booked it in and out of a Camera shop(who\'s name will remain
anonymous)for 3 times, every time coming back with a different issue, and
the original problem being worst.
I was referred to Cameratek by a friend and am pleased to say that I have
received excellent service from the moment I stepped into the shop in
Montague Gardens. I was quickly assisted with professionalism and 2 weeks
later my camera was repaired and now shoots better than ever. I was even
sms\'d to say that my camera was ready for collection and it also
specified the office hours for the next day(which I thought was very
thoughtful).
I try and make a point of informing company\'s when I receive good service
as it is really lacking in S.A, and the only way to improve the service
levels is to encourage company\'s like Cameratek to keep giving good
service.
