How long is the guarantee period for our repairs? |

CameraTek give a 3 month guarantee on the repair, starting from date of dispatch to private customer or shop or from date of collection from our shop. |

Yes, it is R180 incl VAT for all non-Pro equipment, for Pro equipment there is a R399.00 Incl VAT,inspection/quote rejection fee.

What is Pro Equipment?
All Canon L series lenses, Canon EOS 1,3,5 Bodies, Canon EOS 1 and 5D range of bodies, Pentax K10,K20,K7 and similar bodies. Fuji S1, S3,S5 Pro bodies and all Pro Video Equipment

Does CameraTek take any deposit on receiving camera's? |

Yes, we take in a R250 deposit when receiving non-warranty repairs. This deposit will come off the total quote amount and if the quote is rejected we will refund R70 of the deposit (see above). |

Does the quote amount include any postage or insurance fees? |

No it does not unless specified by the customer. |

How does the customer send their faulty equipment to CameraTek? |

You can either courier directly to our physical address or post to our postal address. Details can be found on our website. |

Please download and print the service repair form, fill it in and send in with your equipment that needs a service or repair. |

How long does it take to get a quote? |

We aim to get a quote to the customer within 48 hours. |

How long does it take for the repair to be done? |
|

We aim to complete the repair in 7-8 working days from date of go-ahead (subject to spares availibility or from date of receipt for warranty repairs). This does not apply to Pro equipment. |

Does CameraTek charge for a sensor blowout on digital SLR's? |
|

Canon cover this for their DSLR's that are still under warranty (1year). For camera's out of the warranty period, CameraTek charge R131.10 incl Vat for the blowout (can be done while you wait). No guarantee is given on blowouts. If the camera is too dirty for a blowout to be effective, the customer will be advised and a service recommended. Please call to confirm rates on this as they are varied depending on model. |
